A conceptual design for what the high guard of Max Acorn might wear into battle.
Based on a re-imagining of Sonic the Hedgehog: the game, comics and animated show.

One day I'd love to see the same kind of attention that went into Lord of the Rings or Star Wars go into something like Sonic. Imagine if characters in a film version were outfitted according to rank, their costumes suggesting the history of their class and people. The same kind of attention could go into tools and weaponry, arcitecture, vehicles. With that kind of care Sonic might just be the next grand adventure, the next immersive world.

As for this fellow he wears armor stylized after earlier palace guards during the medieval period in Mobian civilzation; the iron of old replaced with titanium alloy. The elite guard still carry swords condusive to their proud heritage, but over their other shoulder they weild reverse-engineered human rifles (early Mobian weaponry was very primative). The helmet too is a copy of human power armor but retrofitted to accomidate a mobian. The visor has voice command zooming lens, a heads up display with battle field statistics, and swapable night and heat vision modes. This particular soldier carries a side arm and combat knife. Mobians are allowed to make minor adjustments to their gear if they feel it nessisary.

quite an awesome concept! i'll add some of these guards into the intro. also, you have a design for swatbots? i need one of them for the intro... or i'll just make a new one, IDK...
